Vintage 1940s Christmas Grotto at Bletchley Park - autism friendly openings

Step back in time at Bletchley Park and experience a 1940s style Christmas Grotto. Father Christmas will be at home in the Library in the Mansion throughout December. Every child will receive a present and have the opportunity to enjoy festive crafts while you wait.

These tailored sessions, aimed at those with sensory conditions, will take place on Saturday 1st December [fully booked] and Wednesday 19th December. The sights, sounds and festive sensations of Christmas can be exciting but also a challenge for many children. Bletchley Park aim to make their activities accessible to more children and so are offering these dedicated grotto sessions, particularly aimed at those with autism or other sensory conditions.

They aim to:

– adjust the lighting level to suit your child

– turn music off if preferred

– offer you the chance to discuss any particular triggers for your child with us in advance
