Are you interested in giving back to your community? Would you like to expand your skill set, spend time amongst a fabulous team and provide exciting and invaluable opportunities to adults with learning disabilities and additional needs? Are you available on a Monday afternoon for a few hours?

Then becoming a volunteer with Futures might just be the thing for you! We are currently looking for new adult volunteers who can help to support our sessions.

Our new and exciting group Futures supports adults with learning disabilities with developing life skills and social activities. Whether you can cook up a scrumptious recipe to share, or perhaps you’re a whizz on the computer – whatever you can offer, we’d love to welcome you to come and made a real difference!

No experience necessary – although experience is very much welcome!

Develop new skills and add to your CV.

Commit to once a week, though flexibility is easy to work around if needed.

Reasonable expenses reimbursed.

The simple process we follow when recruiting new volunteers is:

1. You complete our application form and send it back to us.

2. You’ll be invited to an informal meeting with a Futures group leader.

3. Two references will be collected.

4. We’ll send you an acceptance letter.

5. You must complete the mandatory DBS check.

6. Start volunteering!

Upon joining us, part of your induction will include reading through some of our most important policies and you will be given the opportunity to take part in appropriate training, such as Safeguarding, Health & Safety and First Aid.

Head over to our Volunteer page and you’ll find a handy FAQ page along with the downloadable application form.

Do get in touch if you’d like any more information on info@lbmencap.org.

Happy volunteering!
