Could you be the next leader of High 5s?
Are you interested in giving back to your community?
Do you have experience of running a youth group or weekly club?
Would you like to expand your skill set, lead a brilliantly committed team, and provide exciting and invaluable opportunities to young people with learning disabilities and additional needs?
And are you available on a Thursday evening for a couple of hours, with additional time to put towards planning?
Then becoming a volunteer Leader at High 5s might just be the thing for you! We are currently looking for at least two new adult volunteers who can take on the leadership of the group, which is supported by a team of weekly group volunteers.
High 5s is an active youth club for members aged 8 to 18, meeting once a week during term time. The emphasis is on fun and socialising together, offering both structured and unstructured play opportunities. Parents, carers and siblings are welcome to come and join in too.
The simple process we follow when recruiting new volunteers is:
1. You complete our application form.
2. You’ll be invited to an informal meeting to discuss the role.
3. Two references will be collected.
4. We’ll send you an acceptance letter.
5. You must complete the mandatory DBS check.
6. Start volunteering!
Upon joining us, part of your induction will include reading through our most important policies and you will be given the opportunity to take part in appropriate training, such as Safeguarding, Health & Safety and First Aid.
If you, or anyone you know, are interested in applying or finding out more, please download our application information pack and complete our online application form by clicking the links below:
Deadline for applications is 5pm on Friday 5th April 2024.
Good luck!
